100% Client-Side Privacy Policy
Your family photographs, historic film negatives, and private memories remain exclusively yours. We do not store, upload, transmit, or analyze your images on any remote server.
Zero Server Upload Guarantee
All WebGL 2.0 fragment shaders and image conversions run 100% locally in your device's browser memory (RAM / GPU). Zero image bytes ever leave your machine.
1. How Local Client-Side Processing Works
When you upload an image or activate your phone camera on Film Negative Scanner, the data stream is fed directly into a local HTML5 Canvas and WebGL 2.0 texture buffer.
Unlike mobile scanning apps (such as FilmBox or Photomyne) that upload your images to remote cloud servers for proprietary AI processing, our application executes all photometric formulas (D = -log10(T)) on your local device's graphics processor (GPU).
You can verify this yourself: disconnect your computer or smartphone from the internet after loading the page, and the scanner will continue to process, invert, and export photos with zero interruption.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
- No Image Uploads: We never transmit, store, or view the photographs you scan.
- No EXIF Metadata Harvesting: We do not extract GPS location coordinates, camera serial numbers, or capture timestamps from your files.
- No User Accounts: You do not need to register, provide an email address, or create a password to use any feature of this tool.
- No Third-Party Ad Trackers: We do not embed invasive cross-site tracking scripts or behavioral advertising beacons.
3. Local Storage Usage
Our in-browser Film Strip Reel utility stores your temporary session frames using standard browser localStorage or sessionStorage.
This data remains stored exclusively inside your browser's sandboxed local storage partition on your physical device. It is never transmitted across the network, and you can clear it at any time by tapping the "Clear Strip" button or clearing your browser cache.
